How do I find a rideshare in Vancouver?

Open the Loop app, set Vancouver as your pickup or your destination, pick a date, and every ride posted for that day appears with its price, open seats and pickup point. Book instantly or request a seat, depending on how the driver set the ride, and pay in the app with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If you are driving, post the ride you are already taking; that is how every city on Loop starts.

How much does a rideshare from Vancouver cost?

Drivers set their own seat price, and it is usually a fraction of what the trip costs to run. BC cost-sharing rules cap what a driver may collect (22¢ per km per seat is the ceiling, not the going rate), so a seat stays a share of the trip rather than a fare. Prices never surge, and the price you see is the price you pay in the app.

Are Loop drivers in Vancouver verified?

Yes. Drivers on Loop are ID and driver's licence verified. At pickup you confirm the ride with a PIN, both of you can follow live trip status, and you can share a live trip page with someone at home. Ratings are blind: neither side sees the other's rating until both are in. Women can also post women-only rides that only women can book, and Loop's servers enforce that rule.
