Riding and driving on Loop

Planned trips,shared seats.

Every Loop ride is a planned carpool: drivers post the trip, riders book seats and split the real cost.

Riding on Loop, in six steps.

From typing a destination to rating your driver, this is the whole thing. No step is hidden, no step is optional.

  1. 1

    Search your corridor

Type where you’re going and when. Loop shows rides along your whole route, not just exact-match endpoints, so a car passing your way counts too.

  2. 2

    Book your seat

Some rides are instant book: tap and the seat is yours. On others, the driver approves your request first. Either way, you’ll know in the app.

  3. 3

    Pay in the app

Card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Saved cards are tokenized, so your card number never touches Loop’s servers. No cash, no e-transfer chasing.

  4. 4

    Meet with your PIN

At pickup, the driver confirms your PIN in-app: right car, right person, every time. A pickup colour on both phones helps you spot each other in a crowd.

  5. 5

    Watch the trip live

Live status from the moment the driver leaves: on the way, picked up, dropped off. No “you close?” texts.

  6. 6

    Rate each other, blind

After the trip, rider and driver rate each other, and neither sees the other’s rating first. Honest both ways.

Driving on Loop: post your trip, fill your seats, cash out.

Your empty seats lost you $214 last month. You were driving anyway: post the trip, let riders cover your costs, and cash out when you like.

  1. 1

    Post your trip

A trip you were taking anyway, once or as a weekly series.

  2. 2

    Fill your seats

Approve each request yourself, or turn on instant book.

  3. 3

    Drive it

PIN-verify each pickup, follow your route, drop off.

  4. 4

    Cash out

To your bank for free, or instantly to your debit card.

Post once, or make it your Tuesday

Set a trip up once and Loop can repeat it as a weekly series, so your commute posts itself. Add a return leg to make it a round trip, and drop in waypoints so riders along the way can join at their own stop.

A price that suggests itself

Loop recommends a fair seat price for your route, always inside your province’s cost-sharing cap, which is enforced on every ride. You stay in control; the cap keeps it honest.

Fill seats your way

Approve every request yourself, or turn on instant book and let seats fill while you get on with your day. Either way, every pickup starts with the rider’s PIN, so you always know you’ve got the right passenger.

safety, seriously

The safety layer on every single trip.

None of this is a premium tier. It's how the product works, for everyone, every time.

Women-only rides

Women on Loop can post rides that only women can book, and Loop enforces that at booking. It's a rule, not a preference. Comfort is a choice you make, not a favor you ask for.

Women only

Only women can book this ride. Enforced by Loop, not by the honor system.

Verified-only rides

Any driver can limit their car to ID-verified riders: one switch when posting, and only verified profiles can book.

Verified riders only

Pickup PIN

Every trip starts with a handshake: you show your PIN, the driver confirms it in-app. You're never guessing whether that's your ride.

Send one link and someone who loves you can watch your trip live in any browser, no app, no account. It's a public live-tracking page that follows your trip until you're dropped off.

Trust Meter

Every profile carries a 0-100 trust score built from six real signals: things like ID verification, ratings, and trip history.

Verified means verified: government ID (and a licence for drivers) checked before the badge appears on a profile.

Report and block, built in

Something felt off? Report any trip or profile right in the app, and block anyone, no explanations owed. Blind mutual ratings do the slow work in the background: both sides rate, neither sees the other's rating first.

Every line, itemized before you confirm. Nothing new shows up on your statement.

Priced as cost-sharing, not by mood

Every ride shows your province’s cost-sharing guidance (22¢ per km per seat in most of Canada, 54¢ in Québec) and flags a price above it. A Loop is genuinely splitting the cost of a trip. Never surge pricing, ever.

Refunds with tiers, shown up front

The cancellation window is on the ride before you book. Cancel early, get more back. The tiers are spelled out, not buried in terms.

Driver cancels? Full refund.

If a driver cancels your ride, you’re refunded in full, automatically, to your original payment method. No form, no asking.

Coins are real money off

Every ride earns you about 3% back in Loop Coins: 1 coin is 1¢ off at checkout. You earn them; you can’t buy them.

Book a seat. Or post the trip.

Same app, both sides of the ride: PIN-verified pickups, live status, and prices that split the cost instead of surging it.
