How it works

Riding

  1. 1

    Search your route

Where you’re going and when. Loop shows rides along your corridor.

  2. 2

    Book your seat

Instantly on instant-book rides, or after the driver confirms. Pay in the app with card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

  3. 3

    Meet with a PIN

Your driver confirms your pickup PIN, so it’s the right car and the right person, every time.

  4. 4

    Ride, arrive, rate

Live trip status the whole way. Rate each other after. Ratings are blind and mutual.

Driving

  1. 1

    Post your trip

One tap for a single trip, or set your weekly commute once and Loop posts the series.

  2. 2

    Fill your seats

Approve requests yourself, or turn on instant book and let seats fill automatically.

  3. 3

Drive like you were going to

PIN-verify pickups, follow the route, drop off. Loop handles the money.

  4. 4

    Cash out

To your bank for free, or instantly to your debit card. Track every trip in your earnings dashboard.

Two people, one trip. That's a Loop.

A driver with empty seats, a rider going the same way. Every match closes the loop: cheaper for one, paid for the other, better for everyone in between.

You earn more than you save.

Every ride feeds a real rewards layer: spendable coins, reputation, streaks, and a carbon count you can actually show someone.

Loop Coins

Earn about 3% back on every ride, in coins you spend like cash at checkout: 1 coin is 1¢ off. You earn them; you can’t buy them.

Loop Rep

A separate reputation you build by showing up: riding, hosting, helping your Circle run well. Rep unlocks real community roles.

Streaks & Leagues

Keep a weekly commute streak (freezes included, because life happens) and climb Commuter Leagues against people at your level.

Loop Wrapped

Your recap: the people you met, the money you saved, the CO₂ you skipped. Free, always.

Carbon you can count

Every shared ride gets a CO₂ receipt. Watch your lifetime impact grow: alone, in your Circle, and across your city.

Coins in the example: ride for $18, earn ~54 coins, spend them on your next checkout. How coins and Rep work →

safety, seriously

Built so you never get in the wrong car.

Women-only rides

Women can post rides only women can book. Enforced by Loop. A rule, not a preference.

Comfort is a preference, not a favor. Choose it whenever you want it.

Every trust feature, explained →

PINs, live status, verification, ratings: the full tour.

  • Verified-only rides

Any driver can limit their car to ID-verified riders.

  • PIN pickups + live status

PIN-confirmed pickups, live trip progress, and a share-my-trip link anyone you love can watch in a browser.

  • Blind mutual ratings

Driver and rider rate each other without seeing the other’s rating first.

  • Trust Meter

Every profile carries a 0-100 trust score built from six real signals: verification, ratings, history.

What it costs, with no fine print.

Capped by law, not by mood

Drivers set their seat price, but Loop enforces your province's cost-sharing cap. Genuine cost-splitting, never surge.

Every fee, visible

The price you see is broken down before you pay: seat, service fee, coupon, coins. No surprises on your statement.

Refunds with rules

Clear cancellation windows shown before you book. Driver cancels? You're refunded in full, automatically.

Asked all the time.

The short version of everything people wonder before their first Loop.

What is Loop?

Loop is Canadian rideshare built around community. Book a seat in a car already going your way, join Circles for your campus or city, and find events to go to together. Along the way you earn real rewards: Loop Coins you can spend on rides, plus streaks and recognition for showing up.

Do I need to be a student to use Loop?

No. Loop is campus-first because that’s where ridesharing works best, but anyone can join. No student email required. Circles exist for campuses, cities, and communities of every kind.

How does booking a ride work?

Search where you’re headed, pick a ride that matches your time, and book your seat: instantly on rides with instant book, or after the driver confirms on request-based rides. Payment is handled in the app, so there’s no cash awkwardness at pickup.

How are ride prices set?

Drivers set their seat price when they post a ride, but Loop enforces your province’s cost-sharing cap, so prices stay genuine cost-splitting, never surge pricing. What you see at booking is what you pay.
